Rust servers with the tutorial on
A server appears here when it carries Rust's tutorial tag or has 'tutorial' in its name. The tutorial gives you a private island to learn gathering, crafting, building and cooking before the main map opens. These are real servers with real populations, not a separate training mode, so their wipe times and rates run as normal. 460 are online as this page loads, refreshed every five minutes.

Treat this list like a forecast of where the tutorial is available, not a ranking of quiet practice grounds. Several large official servers leave the tutorial on by default, so the busiest entries here are busy for reasons that have nothing to do with teaching. Check the Next wipe column before you commit: a weekly server can wipe mid-week, and your island time comes out of the same clock as everyone else's. The Group column matters if you are learning with a friend. Many servers run a team limit of 8 or fewer, and a few set solo or duo, which changes who you meet once you leave the island. Rates do not change after the tutorial: a 2x server stays 2x on the main map.
Questions
Asked of the forecast desk
What actually happens when a Rust server has the tutorial enabled?
You spawn on a small private island with the basics to hand: nodes, trees, animals and a build spot. You work through gathering, crafting, building and cooking there. When you are done, you move to the main map and the server's usual rules apply.
Is a tutorial server quieter than a normal one?
Not necessarily. The tag describes a setting, not a population, and plenty of high-population official servers leave the tutorial switched on. Read the live figures in the table rather than assuming the island means a calm map. For quieter choices by rule set, see PvE servers.
Will the tutorial island still be there after a wipe?
If the server keeps the tutorial enabled, yes. A wipe resets the map and, depending on the server, blueprints, but it does not usually switch off server settings. Check the Next wipe column for the countdown, and the server's own page for what its wipe resets.
Can two players use the tutorial together?
The island is a solo introduction, so you each work through it alone. You meet on the main map afterwards. Before you pick, look at the Group column: a server with a solo or duo limit will keep your team small for the whole wipe.
Rows are ordered by live player count, so the table shifts through the day and again after each wipe. Use the search box for a word in the server name or address, such as a region or a rate. For proper filters, the full server list sorts by region, group limit, rate and wipe schedule. If your aim is a gentler first wipe rather than a tutorial island, servers for new players is the better shortlist. And if you want to time your start, what is wiping today shows the day's wipes in UK time with UTC alongside.
